What happens when you combine Kung-Fu Master with robots, anthropomorphic animals and add horizontal scrolling? You GET... STAR! Get it?

Despite being praised from the public and reviewers, Toaplan said that this was a commercial failure.

  • In the Japanese version you will always start a level with full health (four health bar units), whereas in the US version you always start with halved health (two health bar units).
  • In the Japanese version the first boss's web attack does nothing at all but pushes you back, whereas in the US version the web attack not only pushes you back, but will also remove one of your health bars.

High Score Bug#

Great. So I am 11th, I guess...?
The US version features a bug where, no matter if your score is low to enter in the top 10, you'll still be able to insert your initials below the tenth ranked. However the game will not count your ranking position, your score and the current area since the game never intended an eleventh place. Also the cursor is always placed on the tenth ranked's initials. This bug is not present in the Japanese version.
