Garou Densetsu Special is an unlicensed Famicom port of Fatal Fury Special where Andy Bogard goes by the name "Nt Kau Lok" and Terry Bogard is called "Terry Bogaro".
Mortal Kombat II Special Characters#
Present in the ROM are several Mortal Kombat II Special characters that Hummer Team didn't bother taking out. All of their palette data remains and most of them have their tile layout and at least one special move but all of their graphics appear glitched. They can be accessed under 00B4/00B5 using these values:
- 08 - Mileena (has her roll attack)
- 09 - "Baraka" (might actually be Scorpion, has a move that is not seen in the final that resembles Raiden's Shocker but acts like a stationary attack)
- 0A - "Scorpion" (might actually be Baraka; has Baraka's Chop Chop Blades)
- 0A - Raiden (has his Torpedo that's bugged; doing it up-close makes it act like Shocker, but when he gets near the opponent by traveling a certain distance, he does a standing kick and gets stuck in the air)
- 0B - Goro (crashes the game; only palette data remains)
- 0C - Shao Kahn (crashes the game; only palette data remains)
- 0D - Invisible Reptile (in Mortal Kombat II Special, turning invisible with Reptile forces him to be this character, whereas here the game crashes and only Reptile's palette data remains; he uses Kim Kaphwan's name, as Reptile originally shared the same value as him)
Revisions/Hacks#
Mortal Kombat 6#
A title hack published by KaSheng/NT in 1996. They also released a similar title hack for Hummer Team's Yuu Yuu Hakusho Final: Makai Saikyou Retsuden port, which also had leftover Mortal Kombat II Special characters.
Super Real Bout 97#
Another hack published by KaSheng/NT in 1997. The only difference is the character select icons are much bigger, there's more duplicates, and you start off fighting Terry Bogard first on Tung Fu Rue's stage.
