Elfland is an "elimination" platformer that involves jumping into paint buckets of different colors to kill the enemies with the same color. Notable for being the first known game made by the currently unknown NTDEC-affiliated developers, who would later develop Super Fighter III and the Unchained Melody multicarts. Not to be confused with ElfLand, a shareware platformer for DOS.
Revisional Differences#
1993 version#
The earliest known release of the game was on the 200 in 1: Elfland multicart. Later releases of the game, including the only known single cartridge release, were edited to remove the Tip Top logo and change the copyright year to 1993.

On the single cartridge release, the sprites are glitched from level 13 onwards. All of the graphics appear to be missing after level 22 or 23. Regions of the CHR-ROM appears to be missing or have been unintentionally corrupted for this release.
VT03 port#
A VT03 port of the game was developed by JungleTac, which seems to be reprogrammed from scratch and has several differences when compared to the original game. It also removes the 2 Player mode.
