Dragon's Lair (SNES)

The SNES adaptation of Dragon's Lair, and MotiveTime's third crack at it, after the much maligned NES adaptation and the Game Boy spinoff.

Unlike the more notorious NES game, you can actually swing your sword and not everything kills you in one hit.

Despite the Famicom version being released as Dragon's Lair (ドラゴンズレア), the Super Famicom version was named Dragon's Magic (ドラゴンズマジック), perhaps to communicate that it was not a port of the arcade game.

The European version's notable for its incredibly ill-advised password entry method: Where you get plonked into a level where you have to slowly and awkwardly push colored balls with letters A to D underwater into designated holes. You can also get crushed by these balls, instantly killing you and sending you back to the main menu. Balls can also potentially get stuck against a wall or the side of the level and can't get pushed back out. Fun, anyone?

The US and Japanese versions have something more reasonable. You instead slash at podiums to cycle through letters.
