The sequel to Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, Men of Courage introduced many new features to the series such as full 3D, more interactive environments and more skills for the commandos and a new commando to the team. Like its predecessor, it drew heavily from war films.
A remastered version of the game was released in late 2020 which was meh-received by the audience.
Unused Animations#
- The Thief can't tie enemies in the game but has an animation for doing so.
- The Green Beret has two animations of him firing duel pistols, in standing and prone positions.
Unused Abilities#
- The Driver can repair damaged vehicles with an unused ability. Apparently this ability is also unused in the first game.
- The Marine can dive into the river by jumping from the bridge in the mission Saving Private Smith as seen in the game's trailer, but the object that activates this action is hidden.
Unused Code#
The majority of which is only found in the demo of the game but can still function probably if added to the final game.
2D Box#
Code for a 2D box exist in the demo. It looks similar to the boxes from the first game. Unlike the 3D box used by the final game, the 2D box can't examined but when picked up, it empties all its contents to the inventory.

Invasion Map#
An item that when examined in the inventory, shows an image written on it "PLANOS". The choice of image displayed is not fixed and can be changed by the code.

Whiskey#
The dog introduced in this game behaved differently, you couldn't control it and only followed its owner specified in its code block. If a commando, uses the whistle, Whiskey will go to them, stand for few seconds before returning to the original owner. It also behaved like a real dog, with barking animations and sitting.

Unused Models#
Fat Soldiers#
There exists three fully-working, rifle-armed unused models of fat German soldiers in the game files. They look just like the obscure jailer found in Castle Colditz mission but with green and blue colored uniforms. The third model is same as the green one but with half sleeves. It's interesting to note that a pistol-armed version of one these models is used by the game in a bonus mission.
Detritus#
Named such in its texture files, translates to remains or leftovers in Spanish. This soldier might've been the original rifle enemy as his texture matches an early unused graphic of one of the enemy uniforms.
M3 Grant#
According to early objectives, you were supposed to destroy these tanks in the mission Target Burma. For some odd reason, this unused American tank has a Japanese flag on its side.

Early Das Boot, Silent Killer#
It seems the sequel at one point in development did not differ aesthetically from the first game.
