Special Save Names#
Certain save file names will cause a special effect to activate after the save button is pressed.
Room Warps#
These send the player to a specific point in the game's story, as well as add required items to Sol Cutter's inventory:
- CH_HART_END - At the end of the Hart Maze.
- CH_KARM - In front of the booth in the Karmic Church.
- CH_HTEL_EXT - Outside the hotel.
- CH_HTEL_INT - Inside Cutter's hotel room.
- CH_LOKB - In front of Doc's door.
- CH_PULS - Inside the Televerse.
There is a seventh code, CH_SFTR_DOOR, that should take you to a door in Softech Industries' building. Much like the CD-i version, it can't be entered as it's too long for the entry box.
Other Names#
- TIMELORD - Deactivates the Burn:Cycle virus' timer and erases the entered name.
- JOHN_WHO - Starts playing the FMV cutscenes in order. Clicking both mouse buttons will send you back to the game.
- SNDS - Brings up a dialogue/sound effect player. Clicking both mouse buttons will start playing the sounds, and subsequent mouse button presses will skip ahead one entry. Clicking the textbox with both buttons pressed will pause the current sound. You can return to the main menu by clicking the upper-left corner (the cursor turns into a green arrow to indicate this).
- SHIELD - Erases the name, but doesn't have an apparent effect in-game.
