Battlantis

To do:
Find any potential unused graphics, sounds, music, ect.

Battlantis, which is a portmanteau of Battle of Atlantis, is an interesting (and notoriously difficult) shoot 'em up by Konami with gameplay very similar to Space Invaders. After being an arcade exclusive for a long time, it would later be added to Microsoft's Game Room service in 2010 as part of the very first game pack, as well as more recently being given a release on more modern systems in 2025 via the Arcade Archives lineup.

Version Differences#

To do:
More differences, such as stage order during the attract mode.

There are currently three known sets available in MAME: The version G set, the Japan, version E set, and the version F set.

In Arcade Archives nomenclature, the version F set is considered the North American version, and the Japan, version E set is considered the Japanese version. So it can be implied that the version G set is supposed to be a European version.

Stage Order#

To do:
Add the other stages.

version G/Japan, version E

version F

The stage order was swapped around a bit between versions. This is most notable with stage 2.

Pentagram#

The Japan, version E and version F sets show a pentagram during the attract mode after the part where the monsters are introduced.

Firing Speed#

In the version F set, the player's projectiles move at a slower speed than the other sets.
