WARNING: Despite the Japanese title, there are no slaps or fights in this game.
Instead, it's a traditional shoot-'em-up where you take control of the ALCON (Allied League of Cosmic Nations) SW475 spacecraft in a counterattack effort to defeat an invading alien race led by Gaudy on the planet Theron as the main objective.
Not to mention that the game's power system takes inspiration from another popular shump made from another company that you'll probably know...
Regional Differences#
There are two official sets present in MAME: The Japanese set, with its awkward title, and the North American set. Excluding the majority of the bootleg sets (which are basically carbon-copies of the Japanese set), curiously, there's a bootleg set (labeled as bootleg set 2) which is based on the Japanese set but features small modifications (e.g. in the copyright screen the game simply displays "England", hinting that this "unofficial" set was made for British arcades).

The Japanese set displays a standard export copyright notice on boot. The US set doesn't have an equivalent notice, and instead goes straight to the title screen. The UK (Bootleg) set displays the copyright notice screen, but replaces the message with simply "ENGLAND".

While the Japanese and US sets display the game's logo fine during the demo, the UK (Bootleg) set, for some bizarre reason, displays a bunch of zeros and inside them the first tile for the S in the SLAP FIGHT logo.
