Ész-kerék

Ész-kerék is an adaptation of the Hungarian game show Kerék Bár, which itself was a pretty transparent knockoff of Wheel of Fortune (and would be replaced in 1993 by Szerencsekerék, a licensed adaptation of Wheel).

Anti-Tampering#

At boot-up, the game does a self-integrity check. If this check fails, the following error message displays:

There are two possibilities!

  1. Someone messed with the EXE file.
     What to do: They should poke their nose instead!

  2. A virus attacked the program.
     What to do: Run an antivirus program.

Odd Error Message#

Hidden in esz.exe at 0x2099 is this message that is very unlikely to appear unless one were to rename the executable:
