Pokémon Textures#

To do: |
Pokémon with textures that are the same as in the final aren't listed here. Shiny Pokémon textures also aren't included given that they're just hue shifts of the textures already in this table, and therefore represent those changes the same.
If you're struggling to see the changes, click on the individual images to see them in full size.

Final |
Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
001 |
Bulbasaur |
Final has more detailed shading around the spots. Whilst the bulb has no changes, its eyes have less refined edges. This doesn't make a visible difference on the in-game model, however. |
002 |
Ivysaur |
Ears use a different texture. Ivysaur's leaves are also colored totally different, alongside its bulb being a darker color. |
003 |
Venusaur |
Stem and leaves are a different shade of green, and the flower is far more pale in the final. |
003M |
Mega Venusaur |
Back spots are smoother, and the flower is far more simply shaded in the final. |
004 |
Charmander |
Shadows are more detailed and color is slightly deeper in the final. The outlines of the highlights on Charmander's eyes are smooth, not rough like the final game. |
005 |
Charmeleon |
The final's body is slightly lighter with less prominent shadows. Charmeleon's eyes are also outlined in color in the proto. |
007 |
Squirtle |
Squirtle's shell textures and overall linework has far heavier shading than in the final. Its eyes also sport much simpler, less blended lines. |
