- The pause menu has a unique moving background image.
- Saving in the HUD is disabled.
Audio#
- Most, if not all of Pepe's voice clips are on the disc. Not only in English, but the French, German, Italian and Spanish dubbed clips are present as well.
- Besides the boss music, all tracks are on the disc and match the final game. Bosses use some of these as placeholders.
Alternate Takes and Bloopers#
This build contains some alternate takes and bloopers that wouldn't be present on the final disc.
Level Specific Differences#
World 3 - Neverleave Forest#
Cower Before... Ker-Monster!#
- Ker-Monster starts off leisurely walking around, hitting the ground if you get near him. After a while, he will pound the ground harder, sending a shockwave through the level. He will then begin to throw boxes around. Breaking them will sometimes reveal bombs, which you then have to send his way via spin attack. The final encounter is fairly similar. Instead of a leisurely walk, the boss will run after you for a while. Instead of crates containing bombs, they will include either health, an enemy or the chicken powerup. When the chicken is picked up, the boss will run away and try to avoid your shots.
World 5 - Madness Marsh#
Doin' the Bride Slide#
- Unlike the previous prototype, the "fight" now works.
- There are no hazards.
