This is a sub-page of Proto:Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted.

Patches 1.09 and 1.10 are updates to Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted that were only available exclusively on PS4. While the base game was mostly unchanged by these patches, it would later be discovered that these patches had the entirety of the Curse of Dreadbear DLC in unfinished form hidden in the data.

As a bit of FNAF history, the 1.09 and 1.10 patches of Help Wanted on PS4 are somewhat infamous builds within the FNAF community, as even before they were dumped, it was known they had some amount of DLC content in them before any proper announcement was made, due to their noticeable increase in filesize compared to other patches. Around when these patches were released, well-known FNAF YouTuber Dawko made a video regarding the then-unannounced DLC and mentioned a bug in the 1.09 Patch where the Hub voice line for the DLC would always play, regardless of whether the user owned the DLC or not. When the DLC was eventually released, a user on Reddit named NR_Superstar would make a post about how they had discovered an "alpha" of the DLC while attempting to play the DLC before updating their game, while this information was supposedly already found before their post, it was the first post to share footage of the build.

"Welcome to Research and Development. Today, we are using science to pervert the mysteries of life and reanimate the inanimate. To begin, it is customary for the creator to give a melodramatic speech. Go on. I’ll wait. All done? Good job. Now, let’s wake our little experiment with a controlled shock. Throw the switch, then lower the platform."

After you shock Dreadbear for the first time.

FRANK_HANDUNIT_002

"It’s alive, but lacking the necessary control module, namely the brain. So, let's build one."

How to modify the brain.

FRANK_HANDUNIT_003

"Use the laboratory tools to adjust the brain’s vital characteristics. Use the pulldown blueprints as a guide for matching the correct color, size and neurofeedback loop. When you are satisfied, carefully place the brain in the creature’s animatronic head cavity."

When you place the brain in Dreadbear's head with the wrong size.

FRANK_HANDUNIT_004

"Too bad. It seems to be the wrong size. Try again."

When you place the brain in Dreadbear's head with the wrong colors.

FRANK_HANDUNIT_005

"Oh no. The colored fluid appears to be inaccurate. Try again."

When you place the brain in Dreadbear's head with the wrong brain waves.

FRANK_HANDUNIT_006

"The brain waves are incorrect. Try again."

The end of the level.

FRANK_HANDUNIT_007

"Well done. It’s time to introduce the creature to the kids for focus testing and troubleshooting. See you next time."
