This page details one or more prototype versions of Digimon Rumble Arena.

To do:

  • Investigate game files
  • Compare more differences with the final game

General Differences#

Title Screen#

Prototype

Final

The title screen only has "Rumble Arena" written on it; the "Digimon: Digital Monsters" logo is absent. The background, as well as the audio, remain those of the Japanese version, though the voiceover saying the name of the game was completely removed, leaving only the background music.

Digivolution#

Prototype

Final

The prototype uses a graphic that displays "DP!" instead of "Digi!"

Options Screen#

Prototype

Final

The options menu is mostly identical in both versions. The one difference is that the "Normal" difficulty is called "Regular" in this version; for some reason, it is placed as the last difficulty instead of "Hard" being the last, leaving a visible graphic bug with selection arrows.

Audio#

All voice acting, whether for Digimon, Tamers, or the announcer, has not yet been changed from the Japanese clips.

Passwords#

Although at this point most of the text has been translated into English and several changes have been made from the Japanese version, the passwords to unlock the remain those of the Japanese version.
