PICO-8#
Derelict Star was originally prototyped in PICO-8 before the full game was created in Godot.1 The PICO-8 cartridge file was uploaded in the Derelict Star Discord by the game's solo developer.2 It features a movement controller nearly identical to the final game's, as well as some level elements such as checkpoints, spikes, fake walls, and semisolid moving platforms. No music is present, and some audio is present but seemingly not implemented.
