This page details one or more prototype versions of BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!.

From February 17 through February 20, 2017, the game held a closed beta test with 4,000 chosen players that applied. Version 0.4.1 was one of the revisions used for this closed beta, which includes some interesting changes from the final game. Every date in this page will only refer to the Japanese version, as the English version did not hold a beta test.

Song Jackets#

Early versions of True Color and 私の心はチョココロネ ("Choco Cornet Love" in the English version)'s jacket art appear in 0.4.1. The latter song would not be officially released until April 22, 2018, a year after 1.0.0's launch.

Placeholder Trained Art#

The initial 2-star art of Poppin'Party, with overlaid Japanese text that translates to "After Special Training." These took the place of then-unreleased cards' trained art.

Similar placeholders exist for the small icon versions of cards, but the initial 2-star art of Roselia appears instead.

Live Chibi#

Ako had a different drum kit, and very strangely Ran used Lisa's bass in her chibi instead of her actual guitar.

Second Ran Streak#

In early media of the BanG Dream! franchise (most notably the first season of the anime), Ran's initial design consisted of two red hair streaks instead of just the one. This is reflected in 0.4.1's loading screen comics, which are later adjusted to be more in line with her final design.
