On February 6, 2024, as part of The Code Monkeys DS Cards Lot, a prototype of 8BallAllstars, simply titled "Pool", was released by Rob G722. Based on internal files, this seems to be a localization prototype for the unreleased American version. All mentions relating to Oxygen Interactive, the studio that published the game in Europe, had been removed.
General Differences#
- Upon getting to the title screen, you immediately get to the name entry (on first boot) or the main menu (after entering your name). In the European final, the game displays a screen for a few seconds to access save data.
- If you were to rename yourself, the X button would not show up.
- In the credits, all credits relating to Oxygen Interactive and beyond had been removed.
- Text indicating that save data is being accessed is removed.

The title change is self-explanatory; and the logo uses a unique design compared to the European version. The background was also darkened.
