"Another Costumes" video from the Virtua Fighter History disc packed in with the Japanese version of Shenmue II. The costumes shown above are shown, along with a visibly different version of Sarah's subway stage. Lau's stage uses the song "Tears of Falling" instead of "Raging Wind"; the former of which would later be used in Virtua Fighter 3tb for the Dural version of Taka-Arashi's stage, and the "Underground" song from Sarah's stage has different instrumentation. The announcer is also different, using re-recorded voice clips from what sounds like the same actor from the first two games in the series, rather than the new one used in the final.

Kage vs. Aoi in Aoi's stage. The waterfalls in the stage have a different height, and both Kage and Aoi's outfits have noticeable differences from the finalː Kage's shoes and pants are a different color, while Aoi's long, flowing sleeves are missing.
