This article has a talk page! This page details pre-release information and/or media for Valis II (TurboGrafx-CD).
On the back cover for the Mugen Senshi Valis II Soundtrack (more specifically the computer game, while also including the song for the first stage of this version) released by Invictus, you find what appears to be an early rendition of a shot from the flashback of the fight between Yuko and Reiko seen in the game's intro, sandwiched between cutscene screenshots from the PC-88/98 game.
On an unrelated note, the leftmost screenshot lacks the clouds in the background so it's likely early as well. The album was also released on August 23rd, 19891, after the PCE-CD (June 23rd) and PC-88 (July 8th) versions, which makes things more peculiar.

The shading and colors are different, the characters' faces have been altered (Reiko's is redrawn and Yuko has a visible pixel's worth of teeth for example), and we see more of the image like the rest of their swords, Reiko's skirt, and the cliffside in the background.
