The game's manual has a few screenshots that differ from the final game.

Password Screen#

This needs some investigation. Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page. Specifically: Does the early (partial) password have a (valid, full) equivalent of some kind in the final game?

A full alphanumeric character set is present, whereas the final game ousts the vowels and three consonants (C, F, and S) in favor of symbols. This was likely due to Nintendo content policies outside of Japan, especially since similar changes were made in the PAL localizations of the first NES game and Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.

The third radio contact is listed as "Yr Person" instead of Jennifer. The character descriptions in the manual state that "Your Person" is the codename of Jennifer, the female double agent who serves as Snake's inside contact within the enemy's ranks, and the game itself seems to corroborate this by having the helicopter pilot mention a "Your Person" in a radio call before the latter half of the mission.
