Cut Maps#
In an interview with former team member Steve Gray, it was revealed that one of the sewer levels was supposed to be longer and Aya would find a lead pipe that she could use as a weapon. Allegedly, a real-life sex club based in Manhattan called "Hellfire Club" was planned to appear in the game but got scrapped for unknown reasons.
There were originally supposed to be a couple of maps in the sewer in which you had to find a lead pipe and baseball bat the rats around.
There were supposed to be a couple of maps set in Manhattan’s infamous “Hellfire” S&M club, but they got cut. It is very sad. S&M babes everywhere.

Storyboards#
Early storyboards of the first few minutes of the game, released by former Squaresoft member Marco Velasquez. The storyboards depict drastically different designs for Aya and Melissa/Eve, with the former looking much older and having dark hair instead of blonde. The scene would play out the same as the final release for the most part. However, the storyboard shows that most of the audience would have escaped from the theater. While consistent with the Japanese version, this contradicts the English version, where Aya is the sole survivor.

GamePro #108 (September 1997)#
A preview of the game from issue #108 of GamePro magazine, dated September 1997. A couple of differences can be seen:
- The boss fight with the T-Rex is happening in the city streets instead of the Museum of Natural History. The background shown is similar to the one from the cutscene when Maeda is introduced.
- An unused camera angle of Aya and Dr. Maeda having a conversation inside Carnegie Hall.
- Aya fighting what looks like an early version of the alligator mutant that she first encounters in the sewers. She is wearing her NYPD uniform instead of her black dress and the fight is happening in a different part of the level.
- Below is another unused camera angle of Aya in the sewers. The lights are aligned differently.
- Aya, Daniel and Dr. Maeda on the Brooklyn Bridge. Only Aya can go to the bridge in the final game.
- Different HUD design with the addition of a menu icon.
