- While the font used for Time and Life seem to be the same, there is a red ribbon along the bottom of the screen used for the HUD. The final game has no background for them. The trailer has no mention of Crystal in the HUD, and life is positioned in the middle rather than to the right. The lifebar is comprised of small, strangely aligned rectangles, instead of the green pill-shapes of the final.
- The tileset, while similar to the early stages of the final game, has some differences. The stone pillars and foreground walls do not seem to match with any in the final.
- The thin platforms are even more overtly Prince of Persia in the trailer.

It looks as if the teetering animation had some frames removed for the final, which doesn't raise his arms as high up.

The title screen background is completely different to the final. The title logo was redone, increasing the size and depth of the letters as well as making changes, notably to the N. The trademark TM was dropped for the final. More spaced was placed between Start and Configuration, and a bat was added as a cursor. The year was updated to reflect the long delay, and All Rights Reserved was added.

Again with the Prince of Persia similarities, as the locked doors to the next floor were originally blocked by a portcullis. The gates also had their design changed to be more unique.

No shadow is applied to Kyle as he ascends the stairs. The animation also seems different, with more frames.
Super Play #3, (December 1992/January 1993)#
A short preview of Nosferatu from issue #3 of Super Play magazine. A year and a half after the CSG trailer, SETA told Super Play the game was scheduled for the first quarter of 1993. Japan wouldn't get it for well over a year after that, in October 1994... while the US had to wait til October 1995. Ouch.

The game is still using the old title screen, although now the TM has been dropped from the title. The copyright year still says 1991.

Still using the old HUD too.
