The title screen is markedly different.
- There is no logo.
- The text is entirely in white.
- While in the final game pressing Start will take you to an options menu, this version has them as separate options on the title screen. Further, "Game Start" takes you straight to the first level.
- In the copyright text, a dash is missing for Ms Pac-Man.
- A conversion credit for Franz Lanzinger is present. A separate credits screen appears during the attract mode in the final game.

There are a few noticeable differences during gameplay.
- The start jingle is faster than in the final game.
- The dot sound effect has a different pitch.
- The maze palette is far less arcade accurate than in the final game. Said palette gets used later on in the final game's non-arcade maze sets.
