The screenshots show backgrounds not present in the final version. Interestingly, this page claims that it would come in a 4-megabit cartridge, but the final release of the game actually comes in a 2-megabit cartridge.
Player One Preview#
A preview from Player One #028, March 1993.
The screenshot shows a very different hud from the final verison. The healthbars and lives are displayed at the bottom of the screen as opposed to the top, and in the place of the round indicator is a timer, an aspect completely absent from the final game. The level and exp indicator are also not visible, though this is likely a result of the way the screenshot is cropped.
