Famitsu Issue 102 (June 8 1990)#
A preview of the game, including the intro sequence which was absent from the US release. The screenshots closely match the final product and it is revealed that the game was initially scheduled for a Japan release for September 1990, one year and a half before its eventual Japanese release.

An early version of the US title screen, which more closely matches the Japanese one. Notably, the copyright info uses a font similar (but not identical) to the one used for the options.
It's currently not known whether the US or Japanese title came first. The game's development history is a bit murky, with the Japanese version not seeing release until more than a year after the US version.
This issue also included screenshots of the first stage, using the Japanese version's player and background palettes.
