Store Demo#

Prior to the game's release, Konami released a store demo of Gradius II: Gofer no Yabou on the Sharp X68000 to retailers which features some differences to the final retail version.

Music#

For the store demo, Konami remixed the loading BGM (titled "NOW LOADING" in the sound test) from the final version and used it as the BGM for the store demo.

Interestingly enough, unlike with Detana!! Twinbee, Konami specifically made different versions of the store demo song for Roland MT-32 and SC-55 (General MIDI). The Roland MT-32 feature uses both the MT-32 and base OPM chip in the X68000 simultaneously for music, just like the final version.
