A description of the game, along with a trailer and some screenshots, can be seen on the Shin'en Multimedia website.
Description#
The game's description contains some elements that don't line up with the final game:
- When the four worlds are listed, they are listed in the order of "Haunted Castle, Cloudy Realm, Lava World and Winter Wonderland". In the final game, the worlds are instead played in the order of Haunted Castle, Lava World, Cloudy Realm, Winter Wonderland.
- It is mentioned that players can "Unlock hidden minigames to win the keys to a mysterious chest at the end of each level. Each mini game uses the Nintendo DS touch screen." There are no keys or chests in the final game. While the final game has minigames that can be accessed in each level, they don't use the touchscreen and are fully optional. The final game does also have separate minigames that use the touchscreen, but they're relegated to a bonus feature on the main menu and aren't a part of the main game.
- Donuts and lasagna are mentioned as collectable foods. In the final game, the only collectable foods are donuts and pizza slices.
Screenshots#
Multiple of the screenshots show Garfield with five pizza slices. In the final game, Garfield can only have up to three pizza slices at a time; though, oddly enough, the final game's tutorial still incorrectly states that Garfield can carry up to five, indicating that this was a very late change.
