Week 7 Content

To do: art/WIP CUTSCENESHTI/cutsceneStuff contains early versions of the cutscenes in which they're sprite sheets instead of individual parts. Get footage of Playable Tankman. Add the updated Girlfriend faceplant animation.

Characters#

Tankman#

4 unused miss animations for Tankman. These will likely become used when Tankman becomes a playable character in the full game. Loading Tankman as Player 1 in the current Newgrounds build of the game will not show these animations, as they were only coded within Week 7's earlier commits.

Unused Uh Oh! Censor Animation#

In Tankman’s lip-sync FLA file, There is a symbol titled “mouth censor”. This will likely be used for when Tankman swears while the naughtyness setting is turned on. The .fla this comes from isn't included in the games source code, and is instead from a Week 7 FLA dump that PhantomArcade posted to Newgrounds. These eventually got used in the playable Pico update, where, during a few songs, either Boyfriend or Pico will swear.

Two unused frames for when Pico kicks GF off the speakers. These were likely removed for better timing in the cutscene.

Alternative Bullet Color#

Old	Current

In Week 7's older commits, Pico's uzi guns shot out yellow bullets instead of blue bullets (his facial expressions are also less varied). The color was most likely changed to stick out more from Week 7's background.

Girlfriend#

An animation of Girlfriend faceplanting into the ground. Perhaps this would've played after Pico knocked her off of the speakers in Week 7 with Boyfriend not catching her. More evidence towards this is the fact that the soil and particles are orange, like the ground in Week 7. A updated version of this animation was made for the PitStop 2 release, being slightly longer (and having her foot twitch).

Music#

Ugh (Unreleased Version)#

Around 2021, Kawai Sprite released a Loner Mix on SoundCloud¹, which compiled different remixes of songs (and some of his own). One of the songs on the setlist was an unreleased version of Ugh, which had an atmospheric opening and different feel compared to the released version.

Ugh Erect (tsuyunoshi Demo)#

A big difference between this and the final version are that tsuyunoshi's version is much faster (at 185 BPM) than Kawai Sprite's take (which is at 175 BPM).

Ugh Pico Mix (Old Snipeet)#

A snippet of an old version of Ugh (Pico Mix) was leaked ahead of its release by an anonymous user on /funkg/². The reason it was leaked was due to tsuyunoshi, the composer of the remix, showing their work to some friends of theirs, which led to one friend leaking the snippet.

Ugh Pico Mix (Scrapped Version)#

Scrapped version of Ugh (Pico Mix). There is Boyfriend's voice instead Pico's.

Guns Pico Mix (Scrapped Version)#

Scrapped version of Guns (Pico Mix). Again, there is Boyfriend's voice instead Pico's.

Stress Pico Mix (Scrapped Version)#

Unused versions of Stress (Pico Mix); Saruky decided to scrap these because he felt that it didn't fit Tankman's personality or the song well:

"Yeahhh that's exactly why I discarded it. Tankman wouldn't do that, this version of the song doesn't reflect his personality or the stage itself at all."

Also Saruky originally wanted to title the remix Stress (Philly) because of the Philly Nice samples coming from "Pico":

"I originally wanted to call 'Stress (Pico Mix)' simply 'Stress (Philly)', that explains the usage of the Philly Nice samples! Just because there are new samples for Pico doesn't mean the old ones won't ever be used, same case with BF, old and new samples can be used if necessary"
