This page details pre-release information and/or media for Final Fantasy V.

To do:
Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Ultimania Vol 1 has scans of three documents containing an early version of the final's Overworld player/NPC sprites, notably containing back and side views of toddler Lenna and the mummies in the Pyramid of Moore.

Unused Music#

The Mambo de Chocobo 8cm CD, released in 1992, includes three unused tracks from Final Fantasy V:

  • Hiryuu Mountain - Presumably meant for North Mountain, where Hiryuu is obtained. This track is very similar to the final section of the track "Overture" from Final Fantasy VI.
  • Opening Idea - Maybe an early track meant for the opening logo and vignette of Bartz riding on Boco?
  • Airship Version 2 - Reminiscent of "The Dragon Spreads its Wings", albeit set in B♭ rather than F.
