Manual#

The game's manual includes screenshots from an early version that seems to predate the known prototype build, and has some information inaccurate to the final version.

Images below are from the Australian manual, the European one has the same content with more languages and a different layout.

Screenshots#

Round 4 had a homing gun near the start as seen in the prototype, and another screenshot shows it in use.

This Continue/End screen doesn't exist in either the final or prototype, instead it will go to the title screen with Retry/Continue if you've reached Round 2 and have any continues left. The manual does describe the final's behavior, however.

Extra lives are gained every 15,000 points.

You gain just one at 150,000, but internally it's counted by tens.

It only shoots every 8 frames (up to 5 bullets on screen) and you can hold the button.

Achacha Penguin . . . . 1,000 Points

Gives 500 points.

Digger Mole
1,200 Points

Gives 1,600 points.

Jerry Nimo
1,200 Points

Gives 1,600 points.

Yoko Pig
1,600 Points

Gives 800 points.

The Ninja's art design doesn't match the sprite in game, it's somewhat closer to the arcade version but still missing some details.

Other#

  • Several enemies named in the ending don't match the manual:

Manual

Ending

Nice Doggy

Bow

Jerry Nimo

Jeronimo

Radical Bull

Crazy Bull

Groupie Rat

Groupy Rat

Yoko Pig

Yokozuna

  • "Achacha the Great" is listed with "100,000 Points", but actually gives 50,000 per phase.
  • Romper is listed with "0 Points (Sometimes he has food!)", and actually is coded to "give" 0 points, but many other enemy types can have food drops too. However Romper does have the highest occurence of food drops, with 10 total.
