An article in Nintendo Power focusing on British game studios featured an early shot of Ocean's Darkman, particularly one of the final levels.
Differences include:
- The HUD has a different palette, and features Darkman's bandaged face instead of the spinning mask in the final along with your lives oddly being represented by a bar instead of hearts.
- Despite showing the final level, you seem to be controlling regular Darkman, instead of him disguised as Durant. Additionally, the enemies are recycled from earlier levels.
- Numerous other graphical changes to the background elements and overall design of the level, which doesn't match any in the final level.
