• The game was announced at E3 2002 through GameSpot.
• The game was shown behind closed doors at ECTS 2002. Screenshots exists of this non playable demo.
• The game was then shown on GIGA GAMES TV courtesy of Peter Molyneux in late 2002. This was a pre-alpha build.
• The game was then shown behind closed doors at E3 2003. This was over 50 percent complete.
• The game was then shown publicly at E3 2004.
• The game was playable at E3 2005.
• The game was non playable and shown behind closed doors at Gamescom 2005, dated 2 and a half months before release.
