This page contains notes for the game Mega Man: The Wily Wars.
Japanese Patch Codes#
All of these codes have been tested in Regen and GENS for validity and functionality. It's very likely they'll work in other emulators as well. If Game Genie codes are needed instead, these addresses can be converted by the "MD Game Genie Codec" on SegaKore.
- Reminder: All of these codes are meant specifically for the Japanese version of the game, Rockman Mega World. Some of them may work for the European release, but most will not.

Important Notes#
- Codes labeled "*RAM Code*" can still be converted to Game Genie Codes, but they aren't likely to work with some emulators or real hardware.
- It's probably not a good idea to try to use those "Select Weapon Menu" codes on real hardware anyway – they're meant to be toggled and switched.
- The "Super Arm" code allows the player to generate "Guts Blocks" at will. It can be used on the ground or on ladders, but using it on a ladder will cause the player to become stuck horizontally until damaged. The graphics will also appear as a Hyper Bomb when held or four Rolling Cutters when tossed. Otherwise, it works perfectly.
- The player should not be in the weapon menu when switching weapon menus. Hot-swapping Rockman and Rockman 2 is glitchy, but hot-swapping from 1 / 2 to 3 or vice-versa may cause the game to soft-lock.
- Using the Wily Tower weapons menu can cause the game to glitch up, graphically, or even soft-lock. The latter usually happens if using that code without initializing Wily Tower and picking weapons and utilities, first.
- When beating a boss, the player should make sure the appropriate Weapon Menu code is enabled. Otherwise, the game will play the wrong victory animation, wrong jingle, and either fail to give proper credit for beating the boss or switch the game entirely once the "Get Equipped" screen plays out.
- The "Disable Buster (P) Cooldown" code reduces the forced delay between shots of the Buster from 8 frames to 1 frame, making it function much like the NES games.
- Note: It only works on the Buster (P) weapon and doesn't affect any other weaponry.
- The "Disable Enemy I-Frames" code reduces enemy invulnerability from 8 frames to 1, much like in the NES games.
- In order to warp to a specific stage, the player must enable the "Next Stage Is" code and enable a stage code. As soon as any level is selected in any game, the player will be in the stage of their choosing.
- The stage will also change if a player happens to die.
- If a level is selected through this method, the game will still use the weapon menu of the game the player selected which, as mentioned above, can lead to problems after beating a boss.
