This page contains notes for the game Cyberpunk 2077.
To-Do List (2026)#
Base Game#
- Scrapped Missions: (1), (2)
- More unused romance lines (likely just for recording convenience, similar to Mass Effect, but unused nonetheless).
- Inaccessible areas.
- Stuff from leaked source code.
- Debug console from PC version that was patched out in v1.05.
- Leaked pre-alpha footage "Cyber ElBuggado 2020".
- Content removed from the game after Patch 2.0.
- Analyze various bits of unused code found in Redmod, such as Cyberpunk Online (CPO) leftovers and the Monodisc.
- Cover the revisional and regional differences, and the Censorship.
- The folder base\environment\terrain\mesh_terrain_sectors\ seem to contain LOD meshes for an earlier version of Night City. Attempt to stitch these meshes together and visualize this map.
- Analyze where Workspots have been physically placed on the map as these entries can give context to where cut quests took place and other events during the quest. Note that the game contains more Workspots than the ones that can be found by searching in Wolvenkit!
- Try to extract spawnPointTags entries from the game files as these can also give context to where cut quests took place. Additionally attempt to filter any removed entries that just teleports the player to coordinates 0,0,0.
- There's an ability called "Break Hold" for NPC's, it's meant to prevent the player from being able to do a stealth take-down, but it doesn't seem like this ever worked.
Phantom Liberty#
- Unused Phantom Liberty content.
- Unused character appearances, see link 1 and link 2. Other .app files will likely contain other unused appearances.
Unpatched Version Differences:
- Send in the Clowns contains a broken car chase.
- Using the access point inside the mall during I Walk the Line triggers a unique scripted event.
- The song Johnny B. Goode plays during A Cool Metal Fire.
- The Delamain cab crashes into V's car while leaving the parking garage during Human Nature.
- The hidden room in Dream On is hidden behind a dresser that V has to push to the side.
- The car chase in Playing for Time is hilariously unfinished, containing a flying T-posing character and more.
Old to-do list#
Old list that likely wasn't been updated in a long while, someone please check, thanks xoxo.
- More unused romance lines (likely just for recording convenience, similar to Mass Effect, but unused nonetheless).
Inaccessible areas.- Stuff from leaked source code.
- Debug console from PC version that was patched out in v1.05.
- Leaked pre-alpha footage "Cyber ElBuggado 2020".
- Content removed from the game after Patch 2.0.
- Unused Phantom Liberty content.
- Analyze various bits of unused code found in Redmod, such as Cyberpunk Online (CPO) leftovers and the Monodisc.
- The onscreens.json file from older versions of the game (particularly from before version 2.0) contains loads of unused text strings.
- Version 1.5 accidentally included an early revision of the subtitles for Phantom Liberty, located in localization\en-us\subtitles\quest\q301 through q307.
- Analyze "sq022", a cut side quest that has plenty of leftovers to still be found in the game files.
- Human Shield perk (perk icon/functionality suggests ability to shoot while holding enemy)
- Corrupt/bribeable cops, corporation and NPC hunters sent against the player. (source)
- acid rain feature (source)

PS4 Unpatched Version Compile Date#
The file clnumber.json in the \base\localization folder contains both the Perforce changelist id and timestamp for when the changelist was generated, which likely corresponds to the compile date of the game.
The changelist id is 3953171 and the timestamp is 26/09/2020 15:09:23.
Leaked Source Code#
A torrent named "funnytorrent" contains the source code of Cyberpunk 2077, Thronebreaker, and The Witcher 3 (including a ray-traced version), all stored encrypted using the RAR compression archive. The torrent also contains, unencrypted, a note about the encryption keys; the PS5, Switch, and Xbox SDKs; and some build logs. There is, however, an unencrypted copy of Cyberpunk 2077 source code that does exist by the name "cp_no_password".
Since the RAR format doesn't encrypt paths by default, the names of files and folders can be extracted. The files were listed using the 7zip command line, and the file structure was created using this Python script:
import os
a = open("all.txt")
DEST = "fold"
started = False
for line in a.readlines():
if not started:
if line.startswith("------"):
started = True
else:
if line.startswith("------"):
break
sections = []
last_was_space = False
current_column = ""
nb_space = 0
for chara in line[:-1]:
if nb_space >= 14:
sections.append("")
nb_space = 0
if len(sections) == 5:
if current_column == "" and chara == " ":
pass
else:
current_column += chara
elif chara == " ":
nb_space += 1
if not last_was_space:
sections.append(current_column)
current_column = ""
last_was_space = True
else:
nb_space = 0
last_was_space = False
current_column += chara
sections.append(current_column)
if sections[2][0] == "D":
# is a directory
os.makedirs(os.path.join(DEST, sections[-1]), exist_ok=True)
else:
f = open(os.path.join(DEST, sections[-1]), "w")
print(sections)
The hierarchy was obtained by using the find command line tool.
The Cyberpunk portion contains 861,255 files and folders (with the generated listing being 112 MB). A list of the files can be downloaded here.
