On June 17, 2023, the entire source code for the latest version of Starbound, v1.4.4, was leaked, containing in-development assets with it as well. This was traced back to May 2023, where an anonymous onionmail address gave the code out to 12 people. This page serves as an attempt to document it.

The Official Starbund Asset Missing Image(sic)#

This official "asset missing" image was found within the "devel" folder. In the base game, assetmissing.png is normally a blank image. And no, you're not hallucinating, it really does say "Starbund" (or is it "Starbond"?).
