This is a document detailing some of the changes done to the designs of Pokémon and human characters from early concept art and dialogue for Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, both Pokémon Sun and Moon and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon as well some miscellaneous examples from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire to Black and White and its sequel, ensuring their contents aren't either culturally offensive, age-inappropriate, or copyright infringing.

女の子主人公のホットパンツの丈が短すぎるという指摘あり。
主人公の年齢設定と見た目が10代以上(=ティーンエイジャー [厳密には13才以上を指します])であればまだ良いが、「子供」「子供っぽい見た目」の場合はこれくらいの短さだと気になる。
nijiの女の子主人公も同じくらいの丈だったが、頭身の問題からそこまで気にならなかった可能性がある。
子供もホットパンツは着用しますし販売もしていますが、欧州・北米的にはファミリー層や子供層に配慮して少し長めであるのがより適切であると感じた。
修正必須とはしない。

補足:

北米欧州と日本とでは、性的表現と取られるラインがかなり違うことに注意。

It's been pointed out that the female protagonist's hotpants are too short.
This might still be OK if the protagonist's established age and design are teenage (strictly speaking, 13 or older), but it will bother people if she is a child or looks childlike.
The female protagonist of "niji" [the internal name for Pokémon Sun and Moon] wore shorts of about the same length; however, there's a chance it will be more troubling here due to issues with bodily proportions.
Children do wear hotpants and they are marketed to them, but out of consideration for the European/North American family and child demographics, we thought it would be more appropriate if they were a little longer.
Not mandatory to correct.

Be aware that the line between what is considered sexual and non-sexual content is quite different between North America/Europe and Japan.

While the symbolism varies based on several factors, including country and era, white and red shoelaces specifically might cause controversy. In the UK, white and red are colors used by skinhead groups. Please keep this in mind if any changes or other adjustments are made in the future.

In North America and Europe, a shaved head or "skinhead", in and of itself, gives the impression of belonging to extremist philosophies like antiestablishment, neo-Nazism, and the alt-right. In Japan, it's just a hairstyle with no further implications, so be cautious.

クチバマークとして襟・グローブに配置されているデザインが、スペインの国旗に非常に類似。今回、マチスが軍人という設定や、ゲーム上ではグローブのマークが目に付く状態になっていたことから、国家主義的なものとして捉えられることを懸念。加えて、スペインはカタルーニャ地方の独立問題が現在起こっていることから、国家主義的な印象を与えるものは懸念度が高いことから、修正を依頼

→代替マーク案をTPCiから出し、GF様にて設定資料を修正

※スペインの国旗には王章がデザインされているが、実は民間で使用する場合は王章がないものが普通。そのため、修正前のクチバマークは完全にスペインの国旗と一致してしまっていた。

The design of the "Vermilion Emblem" featured on the collar and gloves bears an extreme resemblance to the Spanish flag. For this appearance, given that Lt. Surge is established as a military officer and how noticeable the emblem is on his gloves in-game, there are concerns that this might be perceived as nationalistic. Additionally, given the current issue of Catalonian independence in Spain, anything that gives the impression of nationalism is highly concerning. Please amend.

→TPCi has submitted alternative emblem suggestions, and GF will adjust the design documents accordingly.

Note: The flag of Spain features the royal coat of arms, but it is actually excluded in most cases when used for non-governmental purposes. As a result, the original design of the Vermilion Emblem was exactly the same as the Spanish flag.

補足:

懸念点: TPCiから「通常のポケモンが捕獲される際、逃げようとしているポケモンを強制的にボールの中に閉じ込めようとしている(ボールが追いかける)、またそのあとのもごもごしている感(通常のボールでもある表現ですが)とがあいまってポケモンが非常にかわいそう」というネガティブな意見が出た。

特に動物保護の観点からかわいそう、またそういった団体からクレームがつきそうとかではなく、あのような表現の仕方はブランド的にOKか?という趣旨での指摘。

→GF様に確認したところ、企画者の意図として「逃げても自動追尾で絶対に捕まってしまうマスターボール」ということを演出したく、今回のような演出にしたとの回答有り。

→上記コメントを受けてTPCiで再検討したが、意見は変わらず。TPC開発からも同様の意見があり。

→最終的に、海外の反応を踏まえ GF様判断で修正することに決定

Point of Concern:
TPCi has given negative comments that when the Master Ball is used to catch a regular Pokémon, the way it tries to run away but is forcibly shut inside the Master Ball (the ball chases it), along with the way the ball wriggles around afterward (though this also occurs with standard Poké Balls), makes players feel very sorry for the Pokémon.

The point being raised is less about them seeming pitiful from an animal rights perspective, or the risk of receiving complaints from such organizations, and more whether such a depiction is brand-safe.

→When we checked in with GF, they replied that the planners' intent was to show that even if the Pokémon tries to escape, the Master Ball will automatically follow to catch it without fail, hence the staging in this game.

→After receiving the above comment, TPCi has reviewed the staging, but their view has not changed. The TPC development team has expressed similar thoughts.

→Ultimately, GF has taken overseas feedback into account and has decided to amend the staging at their discretion.
