Scrapped Hotel Layout#

Hotel Mario background artist Trici Venola would publish several of her level art and layouts to her Instagram in December of 2021. Among them was a level layout for a completely scrapped hotel. Four more layouts from the same hotel would be shared in a Twitter correspondence in December of 2025.

This hotel would have had an aquatic theme and taken up one full screen per level, like the first five hotels of the game. It was almost certainly meant for the scrapped hotel for Iggy; it has the unmarked elevators gimmick introduced in Ludwig's Thump Castle Hotel but lacks the double-screen gimmick that's introduced in Wendy's Blitz-Snarlton Hotel. (For reference, the missing hotel would have been located between Ludwig's and Wendy's hotels.)

Demo Music#

Hosted on the old portfolio website of composer Marc St. Regis was a mix of multiple demo tracks that he composed for Hotel Mario. Another demo track for the game was found in 2025 within the assets of the host website. All of the demo tracks are in full stereo and unmastered. (St. Regis was never credited for his Hotel Mario composition work as his former co-worker, Jack Levy, took all the credit (and therefore was solely credited) for it.)
