An early version of the Japanese title screen exists in the July 2020 Nintendo leak at other.7z/NEWS.7z/テープリストア/NEWS_11/NEWS_11.tar/hino/tmp/.

Early	Final

• DK's tie and Diddy Kong's hat were colored red in the final game.
• The "SUPER" text was given shading and it, as well as the Japanese title, gained a different palette for the final game.
• Both the Japanese title, and the "DONKEY KONG" logo, gained additional anti-aliasing in the final game. For the latter, that necessitated the darkening of the red on the logo.
• The "DONKEY KONG" logo was squished and re-drawn for the final game, most notable on the left and right edges, but differences are present throughout the whole logo.
• The direction of the shading on GB was flipped.
