Hijinx Studios was a rebrand of the company formerly known as PhoenixSoft, which went effective sometime in 2008.
In January 2010, the company was merged with Manifest Games, forming Game Machine Studios, though this former name was still used in games' credits until at least 2012. Some former employees would later form Digital Funk Machine in 2014.
