Battle with Velagunder (English Version)#
A bug is present in Velagunder (the first boss of Ys II)'s projectile attack. Normally, when Adol is hit by a boss attack, there is a fixed minimum damage, but in this instance the minimum damage is set to 255 (possibly higher) when Adol's defense exceeds 134 (which is the normal base damage for the projectile attack). Therefore, if Adol's defense is 135 or higher upon entering the battle, a fire attack will kill Adol in one hit.
This bug is not present in the Japanese version.
