Nine Continues Cheat#
Playing sound effects 00, 08, 02, 08, 07, 05 in the options menu is supposed to set Sonic's continues to 9, but due to a programming oversight, exiting the options menu resets the value at xDA34 to whatever the continues option in the menu was set to (either 3, 5, or 7).
The cheat does work if a scene select code is entered immediately after entering the above code, however.
