This page details bugs of My Talking Tom.

This game has numerous bugs, especially in older versions.

Old Version#

Older versions tend to have more bugs than more recent versions of the game.

Zero Coins Glitch#

In some older versions, items in the wardrobe will be listed as locked and listed at 0 coins. The text saying "Locked" in Russian. The red lock, which would say the level required to unlock a locked item, is blank.

Bathroom Tom's Leg Poke Glitch#

If the player pokes Tom's leg after he closes the bathroom door, his animation will be shown in full.

Sleeping Glitch#

This page or section needs more videos. There's a whole lotta words or pictures here, but not enough videos. Please fix this. Specifically: Add videos of the glitch.

In old versions of the game, if the player went to the kitchen or bathroom while Tom was sleeping, he would still be asleep and not wake up.

Sleeping Text Glitch#

In old versions, when Tom is sleeping and when he wakes up, the "Z Z Z" still shows up when he is awake. Appears on rare occasions.

Rendering Bug#

In some Samsung devices (Android 9 devices or Android 6 devices) when the game installs data and starts up, there's a Unity rendering bug that always shows Tom's eyes, rooms glitched, and everything has backface culling. This happens mostly between versions 1.0 and 1.3. There exists an alternate version of this bug, just without the teeth and the tongue showing. Usually shows up in version 1.3 and even between versions 1.0 and 1.2 when leveling up to level 10. Later versions fixed this issue (Sonic Dash has this issue too).

Full Storage/RAM Bugs#

If an old Android device has too little storage or bad RAM, the game will freak out and Tom's animations will glitch, leaving only his eyes and mouth with working animations.

Level Up Glitch#

In some rare occasions, when the player starts up the game, sometimes the leveling up screen appears. When Tom is leveling up, a rare glitch pops up and crashes the game. The glitch leaves Tom T-posing, and replaces the level up text with "Description Text".

New Version#

Bathroom Door Glitch#

When version 4.2.1.50 arrived, the bathroom door script was updated. However, it can sometimes be buggy when executed.

Door Drag Glitch#

When Tom finishes pooping, he closes the door, but there's a glitch. Tom opens the door, but since the player is holding it, the animation will be shown in full when it wasn't suppose to.

Tom's Animations Glitch#

On rare occasions during gameplay, Tom's animations will become insanely broken. Mainly where his head would fly out of the screen as well as some portions of his body.

General Bugs#

These bugs have not yet been patched since version 1.0.

Feeding Food Glitch#

There's a bug where when the player hits Tom until he falls and hold the food in the center, Tom will act as if he's full even if he isn't.
