RoughNeighbourhood Cheat#
The RoughNeighbourhood cheat when activated changes the AI of all character types to be aggressive towards each other; however, when deactivated, six of the pedestrian types don't have their AI reset correctly, which also carries over into the save file. Most infamously, this affects the Mad Dogg mission as he will instantly commit suicide before the player can do anything, however it affects several other missions and cutscenes in the game. A save game editor can fix this glitch, otherwise starting a new game is the only option.
Pedestrian types affected by the glitch are:
- Civilian male
- Civilian female
- Dealer
- Fireman (has no effect in-game)
- Bum (unused)
The Universal Bug#
If at any point the player died at the very beginning of the game (Usually done via typing the jetpack cheat ROCKETMAN and let the cutscene play after a certain point) then after respawning every single interior will be unlocked, including mission related ones, and even unused ones! It also "unlocks" either some or all the islands in the game, as the warnings of closed bridges will be gone plus their invisible walls, but traversing them will give you the 4 wanted stars as if you were entering them without having them unlocked via completing certain missions.
An alternative and much more quicker way of doing this bug is loading a saved game, then quickly pause the game and load a new game, there will be a brief moment where CJ will have the accessories of the selected save game, and then the game actually starts a new game, while in that moment enter in the suicide cheat (SZCMAWO), from there the "Airport" text will be skipped, and after some time you will be respawned instantly at the Idlewood hospital as if you were to do the bug mentioned above. There is a chance this alternative way will absolutely break the game, as the first mission marker will be missing, and for whatever reason CJ will be missing all given clothes.
